The Synology DS2422+ is a 12-bay desktop NAS built around the AMD Ryzen V1500B processor. Installed memory is 4 GB DDR4 ECC SODIMM, expandable to 32 GB. Networking is 4 x 1GbE RJ-45. With expansion units it grows to 24 drive bays.

Questions about the DS2422+
How much usable storage does the DS2422+ give?
It depends on the drives and the RAID level. With 12 × 8 TB drives in RAID 5 you get about 88 TB before formatting. The capacity table on this page shows other combinations.
Can the DS2422+ be expanded?
Yes. With Synology expansion units it supports up to 24 drive bays in total.
Can the memory in the DS2422+ be upgraded?
Yes. It ships with 4 GB DDR4 ECC SODIMM and Synology lists a maximum of 32 GB.
Does the DS2422+ have 10GbE?
Not built in. Its ports are 4 x 1GbE RJ-45. It has an expansion slot, which can take a faster network card where Synology lists one for this model.
What warranty does the DS2422+ have?
Synology lists a hardware warranty of 3 years, extendable to 5 years for this model.
