Synology FS3600
The Synology FS3600 is a 24-bay all-flash rackmount NAS built around the Intel Xeon D-1567 processor. Installed memory is 16 GB DDR4 ECC RDIMM, expandable to 128 GB. Networking is 4 x 1GbE RJ-45, 2 x 10GbE RJ-45. With expansion units it grows to 72 drive bays.

Who it suits
All-flash storage suits work that needs fast response: virtual machines, databases and video editing. It costs more per terabyte than hard drives, so it is usually paired with a larger hard-drive NAS for backup and archive.

How much usable storage does the FS3600 give?
It depends on the drives and the RAID level. With 24 × 2 TB drives in RAID 6 you get about 44 TB before formatting. The capacity table on this page shows other combinations.
Can the FS3600 be expanded?
Yes. With Synology expansion units it supports up to 72 drive bays in total.
Can the memory in the FS3600 be upgraded?
